365 ~ 01/12/14 ~ 085

85 DAYS!!! Really?!? This year is SO not going the way I'd intended!

I wanted to write/blog/post daily... and I've managed less than 10 days so far (anyone care to look back and count 'em for me? lol)
I want to work on being more consistent in my efforts... yet the only thing I'm consistent about is being inconsistent!
I need to get back to losing weight, gaining strength & mobility, and building my business. All this takes being consistent. It takes effort. It takes DAILY effort!

So now it's been 2 months since posting a blog entry!
I've regained more weight (how?) (lol)
I haven't even been on the gazelle for at least 2 weeks now!
Clearly losing ground in strength & mobility matters lately!
And... really haven't seen much business growth either!

But I keep on telling myself...

don't quit

never failed = never lived

This is NOT how my story's going to end!

And there have been some positive, good things since my last blog entry!

I now have a emoticon emoticon
It's teaching me many things! emoticon
On (what used to be) my typical day I only walked a few hundred steps! Sad, isn't it? Until you realize that I do use an electric scooter (or did till it died in Nov. and now the medical powers that be are debating the "need" for it) to help me get around. So now I'm walking a bit more! I'm still tweaking (calibrating steps & identifying exercises) it but really enjoying doing so! So far today I'm over 2000 steps! Quite the accomplishment from my 1st day of 96 steps!!!
And my company is sponsoring (as many do this time of year) a Get Fit contest beginning Feb 1st and running thru April 30th with some cash prizes and other cool prizes. I've entered!!!
UH-OH! But I'm counting on it being incentive to push me to the consistency I need for success in my endeavors! The neat thing is it's not so much about how much weight you lose, though that is part of it; but it's about how much improvement you make in your health!
Tomorrow I have a doctor's appointment so I will be getting all the vital info needed for the contest then. And I'm going to really work on the next 19 days on consistently paying attention to what I'm eating, and getting in some level of exercise daily. SP will make tracking that super easy.
I do at least have one longest ever streak going - 80 days now I've come to SP and logged in!

Way to go! We all have times of inconsistency - trust me I now ALL about it. Sounds like you have a good attitude about it, and are taking steps to do better. I've looked at the step tracker, looks like a great tool!

Keep it up! God bless!
