And this is how we define achievement:

Sunday, January 12, 2014

There was an event in Disney World this week and weekend called The Dopey (after the dwarf in Snow White.) It consisted of four events:

On Thursday there was a 5K to run.
On Friday was the 10K.
On Saturday there was the half marathon to run.
(If you did all three of these, you successfully completed The Goofy)
On Sunday, today, was the full marathon.

My daughter and her friend successfully completed all four and have their handful of medals to prove it. emoticon emoticon

(And I'm thrilled just to be able to do two "man" push-ups emoticon - maybe I need to raise my bar a bit.)

Hey, that's her down below there - ANNE3448. Go over to her page and congratulate her in person! emoticon

What an amazing accomplishment. I can run a 5K and push myself to do the 10K but certainly not both and then to add the half and full. I am in awe!

And I also can't do the push-ups.

    Your pride comes through!! emoticon
VERY well done for those young ladies.
I cannot do even a bend your knees and push up, Frustration but it kills the knees.

I noticed you threw an empty milk carton at the cat. Why were you so grouchy today. I was able to chip ice away at the end of our driveways . I felt so bad the mailman has his job to do. I managed to get the ice off I always use my garden spade to get between black top and the water so it comes up in big slabs . Doing it that way my garden spade stays very sharp. Way to go hugs Pat in Maine. emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon

Actually, the half and the full are the Goofy. The Dopey is the Goofy plus the 5K and the 10K. And thank you! emoticon

The only running I will ever do is with a mad dog chasing me. But glad these two kids did this and may they do many more.

LOLOL I am many things, and capable of many more, but I am not a runner, nor do I wish to be one. Thanks for the thought, though!

And for what it's worth, these kids (late twenties) trained for three years to do this.
