Kathi, afghan is just 50 inches NOT 50 feet, it's a blanket for the couch, and it got up to about 60 inches, was almost as tall as me.....

WE had our heavy rain and it took away another 2-3 feet of snow.... and I got all the ice broken up off my driveway.... so not as discouraging as seeing all that snow out there... we can see pavement and even the grass is showing now. We so wanted to have a walk today, but the sidewalks are sheets of ice. So, I drove over to the dam where Buddy and I used walk, cuz I had been told it was kept clear all winter, but it was treacherous... so Buddy and I walked along the road for awhile... at 50F it was too warm not to take advantage of walking... messy though!!!

DId read my text last nite and also made some notes, but am seriously reconsidering whether I want to do all this work, there is no benefit to me, unless I want to stress (I mean challenge myself) to write a big research paper...but I could just audit (stop in and listen to the lectures but not do the work)...hmmm..... Since I already have 2 degrees, this won't count for anything, and to take the Masters program isn't free, so I won't be doing that.... just some brain stretching... not even any group work, which though difficult is usually a good way to meet new people. oh well, still considering.

Got another hat on the go, knitting, will probably finish tonite, depending on how much reading I do... Supper is on... not healthy, ribs (I did boil them) and boxed spanish rice...

Thanks Helen for saying I lead such a busy life.... doesn't seem like it to me, but I will have to think about that.... still not settled into the idea of being retired....

So glad that you and Buddy were able to get out and walk for a while and that the heavy rain took away some of your snow!!! I was beautiful here today also and I spent as much time as I could soaking up the sunshine! I know it is going to get cold again in a few day with more snow in the forecast. I have been doing most of my walking inside on the treadmill this winter to beat the extreme cold temperatures outside. Just glad that we have a completed basement where we keep all our exercise equipment. I it cooler down there...most of the time.
It took me quite a long time to settle into my retirement...probably because it was forced on me and not by my own choice....had to take a disability retirement due to a bad back operation. The good that come of it is that I was able to stay home and spent more time with my daughters. I can rest assured that each day the Lord walks with me and watches over me and my family...for that along, I thank him daily!!
Keep us posted on your decisions. Take it one day at a time...YOU CAN DO IT, because YOU ARE SO WORTH IT!!!
    Continued blessings and hugs,

One day it will be spring again, can't wait! As for the course, if it's too much work & not that interesting and won't help you find employment, I'd drop it. Glad you were able to get out for a walk.

When I read about friends with snow, I am grateful to live where I do...It would seem springlike in comparisons to your winters out there.

I hear ya on the course. sounds too boring a subject for me to take an interest in, so if I weren't going for the credits towards a degree I would probably drop away from it. Good luck on figuring out what you want to do with it.

Yes I do agree. I have thought for a very long time now, your life is way to busy for me lol Going too many directions at one time for me.I hate it when my life gets that kind of busy! Many years ago now, I quit a lot of stuff.Clubs and organizations using way too much of my good heartedness, knowing I couldnt say no to them....until that one day came along and I said I quit!

I like the quieter kind of life, and now only belong to 2 clubs...TOPS, and the Lions Club, plenty enough for me, and with enough different projects going on within the Lions club, keeps my mind active.

Hope you had a good walk, even if it was messy out there!

Glad the rain washed away some of the snow. This morning when I c.hecked weather, both you and Maine were warmer than me!!!!

A walk is good, sorry so messy. I am sure Buddy was happy to be out. We got up to 58 degrees yesterday..but it was very windy.

Don't blame you about the course..sounds like a lot of work. Busy is good, overstretched and overstressed is not!

Speaking of stress, I see a nap in the next five minutes....xoxoxoxo emoticon

Lila, that sounds like a busy life to me. LOL. 68 days until spring.....just saying I cannot wait. I walked outside today hoping the park would be clear and it was mostly but still very slippery in spots so finished on treadmill after I got back home. Glad you got out in nature for a little while. It helps lift the spirit. TC
