My Spiralizer Arrived!

Sunday, January 12, 2014

Thank you, U.S. Postal Service, for delivering my new kitchen tool earlier than expected! I went right out and got a zucchini to make for dinner. The Bitoni Spiralizer (slightly heavier than the less expensive ones shown at Amazon) quickly and easily turned my zucchini into a bowl full of zucchini "pasta." I made a homemade marinara sauce from what I found in the pantry (canned tomatoes, garlic, a teensy bit of olive oil, oregano, and salt/pepper). Then I microwaved the "pasta" for about a minute to heat it and get it to the crisp/tender stage, not mushy. It was delicious and SO easy!

    Oh too cool!
I just bought one of those too - a cheap one because it was a point of purchase impulse buy - but it looked SO cool.

I can't wait for zucchini spaghetti

I'm 100% raw and use to do that with zucchini and loved it! My Spiralizer kept on breaking where the handle and the armature connected. Since this time I have gone on to juicing and smoothies and don't make any big meals.

I'm very interested. I've never made vegetable pasta - but I can't wait to start.
I'm going to order one up today! Thanks for the great idea.

Oh, it's a KITCHEN gadget! I was picturing some kind of artist tool (think Spirograph). I'll have to google that. We raised a LOT of zucchini last summer.

    Don't ya just love it!

PS - love that you set the table for one - we've used the kitchen counter a little too much lately - think I will follow your example and take pleasure in our meals...

I saw this and added to my Pinterest to buy later. Glad to hear it works! The one I saw was Williams Sonoma. Do you think that is a good brand?

I just went to Amazon to look for this better one, but Bitoni didn't come up. There was one that said it was less flimsy than others offered, but it was unavailable now. Did you get yours online?
