I have been going strong with the 28 Day Bootcamp Challenge! Today starts week 4!!! That means I've been exercising for 21 days straight!!! This weeks' challenge is to do three of the daily videos one or two additional times.
I'm actually pretty excited about this because I'm starting to really like the strength training for my core, like I did yesterday. I like the fact that I'm getting stronger and can start doing some of the exercises exactly as they are without modification, as well as my arms. But since the challenge calls for 3 videos, I can do extra work for every body part. I already know which ones I want to do!
I'm really excited for the progress I've made and I can't wait to see what my measurements are next week. I'm a little nervous for the scale since it wasn't so nice last time and I know next week I will start my period, so I'm hoping that it doesn't negatively affect the scale.
In other news, we have ANOTHER birthday party to go to today. Last week was my daughter's, yesterday was my friends' daughter's party, and today is my boyfriends' nephew's party. Lots of junk food, lots of cake. The first 2 parties I've really avoided the chips and snacks. I think this has really helped and aided me in not going overboard with my calories. I eat 1 small piece of cake and try to drink only water or if that's not available diet pop. Yesterday I even brought my own drink. I know we have 1 more party this month. My boyfriend's mom, got 3 grandkids all in one month! LOL! When I found out I was pregnant with my daughter, his brother found that his girlfriend was pregnant and shortly after that, his sister found out she was pregnant. My daughter was born first, a week late. (She would have been born in December had she came on time). His nephew was born a week after my daughter (he was a week late too, and I think my daughter was born on his due date), and then his sister had a scheduled delivery, so she was born about 2 weeks after his nephew. So, lots of kids, all within less than a month time span. LOL!
So, I kind of went off on a tangent there. My goal is to drink only water, and eat foods in moderation. If there's healthy foods, like salads, eat more of that. If there are foods like pasta or pizza, one spoonful or one piece. That way I limit what I eat and don't overdue it.
Tomorrow, I have to have a HIDA scan done. I've had issues in the past that sound like it may be gallbladder related but my doctor did an ultrasound and found nothing wrong, so now we need to see if my gallbladder is excreting bile as it should. I have to fast for 4 hours prior to the scan. It could take between an 1 1/2 to 4 hours. Can you imagine?!! That means, not only will I have not eaten due to sleeping, but I'm not eating well into later that afternoon! I'm going to be starved so I really need to plan what my first meal is going to be like because I don't want to go overboard and think that I can just eat whatever just because I didn't have breakfast. So I need food that is going to fill me up and make me feel satisfied. I will have to plan this out this evening.
Other than that, it's going to be a busy day. I have to get the laundry out of the dryer, then do day 1 bootcamp video, then shower and get myself and my daughter ready for the party. Wish me luck!!!
