Today's Kick in the Butt

Been awake for just over an hour. Had some breakfast - fruit and water. Now time to gear up and get today started.

I have lots I want to do today.

I want to make a loaf of gluten free millet bread. I ground my own fresh millet earlier this week, so everything is ready to go. This is supposed to be a fantastic sandwich bread recipe, so I can't wait to try it. I also have a baked french toast recipe to use this bread in. Maybe I'll make that for supper tonight. Hmmmm.

I also have two other recipes to try today. One is a gluten free cream puff recipe. The other is a paleo cream puff recipe. I want to try them both so I can decide which one I'm keeping. lol. Hubby is looking forward to having some treats for work again soon. And there is a staff meeting on Tuesday, so I'll have some more opinions on them then.

But before I can start any of that, I am going running. I haven't been running in a long time - since I ran the half marathon in Regina on Sept 8. Okay, I have gone once since. But other than that, I've been too sick to train. The shingles FINALLY seem to be gone. And I need to get my training back up. I have two races three weeks apart this summer.

I'm starting two fitness classes this week also. On Monday and Wednesday nights. I'm doing both Zumba and Kettlebells. So the plan is to work my running in around those four classes. For this week, I've given myself Friday and Saturday off - a chance for my body to recover if I need it.



My run today is only a half an hour. Then I'm technically done. But I really need to give it my all in that half an hour. I really want to push myself. I know it's been a long time, so I'm starting my C25K training over from the beginning.









Time for me to log off and get out there. Kill this workout. And get my baking started today.

*******UPDATE*********
Back from my workout. My MP3 player died, so it wasn't a full workout. I kept pushing until I looped back around home. Lulu is already asleep on the floor. lol

    I have been trying to sub out things for glutten free so I'm happy I found your page! What is the recipe you have for bread?

    You are doing such amazing things in the kitchen! And way to go on getting that workout! I'm still nervous about introducing exercise since I always seem to lose my momentum when I exercise! I decided I wouldd work on introducing it when I am about 10 - 15 lbs away from goal...
