Struggling with food

I am still in a rough patch from the holiday. I keep getting freshly expired nut butters from work, those can't be helping. One was a 12 dollar pumpkin butter and the other was a 15 dollar walnut butter. I gotta put a lid on spreading them on everything, apples, graham crackers. Fine in moderation but not in excess. Just got off TOM, of course I let that be an excuse when really it's not. Well now it's over so I have no excuses.

We had a pipe burst on Thursday, so my plan to go to the gym was X'ed that night. We spent the whole night at Menards or Lowes. After I parked Scott and our cart in the plumbing section, I started doing huge loops around the store. I am sure ppl working there thought I was odd but oh well. I had 5000 steps to polish off that night and they weren't happening at the gym.

Saturday, Vicki and I did double time and a half I supposed workout. We started with 1 hour of water aerobics then did 1 hour of Werq and then finished with lifting. Made for an exhausting morning. Plus I am still taking care of my bosses cats, three times a day. I wish the weather was good enough to run or walk to her house. 1 more visit and I am off the hook!

Mind over matter, mind over matter, make this week good! Oh yes and the torts made their 2nd leg of the trip, they are in Texas!

    Ugh on the busted pipes, that sux! Good idea on the steps; I think exactly the same thing when I walk a circuit around Walmart too! ;)

    Those nut butters sound delicious. I'm glad they aren't around here. LOL.

    Ian had burst pipes too. Someone had taken the insulation off of his pipes. They got it fixed fairly quickly.

    The tortoises are certainly going to live in a nice region. LOL.

    Yeah, some days it's hard to get both the food and exercise where we want it to be. Start ignoring those jars of whatever butter. Fresh fruit and vegs. Hearty soups. That kind of stuff. You can do it!
