Hello Friends,

Yes I have been MIA for quite some time, now its time to get back in the grove. BLC 24 is starting Wednesday and the Winter 5% is beginning soon so I am super happy. I really don't feel like doing much during the interim period. Well maybe that is really because I needed a break. Which I did give myself!

So lets see, whats been going on...Well...the Holidays were awesome! My in-laws came over to our house Christmas eve. I made a ham in a crock pot, turned out AWESOME and I will only cook my ham like that from now was a big hit! Jason's younger sister and her husband came for dinner too so that was a great time visiting with everyone. Earlier that day was hectic since I had to work but it all turned out! Christmas day we opened our gifts from Santa, that was a lot of fun, then we headed to my moms for more fun! Kids stayed at my moms that night thru New Years Eve. Jason and I got out a couple times to check out houses and neighborhoods since we both had the 26th and 27th off. Didn't find much but I did figure out which areas of Milan I like and don't like LOL. We also expanded our search to another city but we are not finding anything and we still haven't seen one house. So needless to say we are filing for our first 30 day extension by the 20th. Jason and I relaxed and watched a lot of movies during the 4 days we had off together. Monday I went back to work. It was so nice just not to get on the computer or think about much except houses a little bit. I really needed it. But I tell you it was hard to study for the GMAT. I was supposed to do that during the break, which I did but not until Jan 2 and my test was Jan 4. It was A LOT harded than I anticipated and even harder than the practice tests. I had to be there by 7:30 am since my test was at 8am. Well I get there and the test people were even locked out of the building. We had to stay there until 8:30am so they could get ahold of the property management company. If they weren't able to get in touch with them then then we would get to reschedule without penalty. Well I tried to go in there relaxed and ready but that hour really messed with my anxiety and by then time I finally got to sit for it I was a nervous wreck so of course I didn't do well and had to reschedule and fork over another $250. So going to be studying for that more and taking it early March since I have a week long winter break end of Feb. Per my advisors recommendation. The kids were off this week until Thrusday due to the extreme cold and horrible snow we got. That was ridiculous. Jason and I both took Monday off. I went back to class Thursday. That class seems like it will be pretty demanding, so a lot more work for me. My other class I haven't been in yet but I go Monday. I know the teacher and hope that it should be fairly easy. Today my school had the grad school open house and if you went and filled out your application there they would waive the app fee so I did that this morning. I will know mid march if I am accepted. Just need to re-do the GMAT and finish my essay that goes with the application. I came home and finally got all the inside Christmas stuff down and put away. After I catch up on SP I plan on doing a little homework.

I didn't weigh myself on the 25th. I did weigh in on the 1st and was up 3 lbs which I expected cause I have been eating everything. this week I was down 0.2lb. Before BLC 24 starts on the 15th I plan to do a revision of my goals for the New Year.

Well that's about it for me :) Hope everyone is doing well!!!

Sounds like a busy break, but sometimes just doing something different is break enough.

Glad to see you back, Jen. We have missed you on the team, but taking some time off from the computer to just rest & relax with family is a necessity, and very important. Glad you did it. emoticon
