I got your goodie, and thank you and how apropos. Life is like a roadmap.
So many twists and turns, shortcuts that end up getting us lost and if we are lucky
they may help find hidden treasures
When I look at a road map I see big roads hat gets somewhere in a hurry They are straight but we get to see little except a highway unless we turn off for gas or food.
Sometimes we have to get off the main road to visit others. Sometimes we have to get off to visit special places. We get off those roads due to need for repairs.
So when we veer of the roads we are learning things about others and ourselves. We find hidden treasures of strength and knowledge buried within in us as we research ways to bypass our errors.
When my son died 2 years ago, I learn that every day in life is a gift and not to be taken for granted. veered off that road for a while too but have been in a maintenance mode for 2 years. I will start Monday riding down that road to better health again. I have filled my mind with further dietary knowledge. I have continued to measure and log in. I know that I have to have contact with others to succeed.
I now only visit about 5 groups, because more than that overwhelms me.
You are right when you say life gets in our way. You are right when you say we use it as an excuse. It is hard to crawl out of those holes of darkness when you do not realize you are there.
I am glad that you see where you are and that a roadmap that you carefully construct to go around your obstacles needs to be created. My road map may be different than your, but nevertheless we need to create a carefully designed path.
The worst thing in life that you can lose is your sense of self. Learn to like you again.
Remember get up, get dressed and get moving.
