Yesterday I realized that I was going to have to figure out how to exercise during the evening- the time of day that my kids really want my attention. So I figured out how to kill two birds with one stone- I made my 8 year old my exercise coach. I told her that she was responsible for directing my workout. I have to say that she did a pretty good job- and really made me laugh.
"Mom put your butt down"- when I was doing mountain climbers.
"No cheating sit ups with your feet under the couch."
"ok- do sit-ups and then mountain climbers and then sit-ups and mountain climbers. keep doing them until I come back."
The my 6 year old decided to join in and he and I played games on Wii fit.
There's one less excuse I have now- the kids are happy to get my attention while I work out!
Thanks to MostMom- her 1000 days of fitness inspired me to get in at least 10 minutes no matter what.
