Evening cravings

I was so proud of myself last night! About 2 hours after dinner I wanted to just binge so badly! So, I told myself I would eat a protein bar and leave it at that. Well, after that I was still hungry! It was about 8:30 and I decided the only way I was going to not eat was if I went to bed! So, I went to bed early and I crashed! Maybe my evening cravings are just a way of telling me to go to bed earlier! I woke up with the craving totally gone and not feeling bad about myself. I suppose I kind of took an easy way out by just going to sleep lol but it worked! I am constantly trying to find new ways to keep from binging, that is my biggest downfall. Now on to the challenge of weekend eating! Everyone have a great one!

    Great strategy! I know most of us could use an extra bit of sleep, plus it kept you from eating things you shouldn't. emoticon

    Actually, you are right! I had the same problem and I talked to my doctor about it. He showed me some research that showed just that! Our body craves food in the evening, especially sugar, when we are tired so that it can use it as a wake up call to our body! Kudos on going to bed early!
