Appreciate being healthy

The day after Christmas, I pulled something in the back of my right leg. It hurt to the point that I had trouble walking. I could not push through running or anything that put extra stress on that leg.
I am in my 40's, and I have never experienced this. I may not be the thinnest, but I have always been "sturdy" and injury free. It was frustrating and I felt like I was not able to progress with training for my 1/2 marathon. I decided to take it easy, and after a week I was able to walk, but could not run.
Last night I was able to run for 2 miiles (did the treadmill) and it felt great. More importantly, I was grateful and appreciated being able to run. Instead of feeling unmotivated to run I felt great. The biggest challenge was not doing a 3rd mile, but I wanted to take it easy and not push it.
Today I am grateful my body is healthy and will appreciate everything it does for me.
