The high today was a balmy 17 degrees with the windchill bringing it to something like -5...which actually did seem balmy compared to yesterday's -25. So I ventured outside for a walk at lunch. After two coworkers stopped to ask me if everything was ok, I realized something. I was one of those "crazy people" I've seen walking or running in crazy weather. I also realized that maybe they aren't as crazy as I thought. Maybe they just want to stay active and healthy regardless of the weather. Or maybe like me, they got a little stir crazy stuck at a desk all day and needed a little freedom. Whatever the case may be, I now know that I CAN be active outside in cold weather. Now you probably won't see me out when it's -25, but anything reasonably above 0 might be doable. Why let cold weather become another excuse? I've got enough of those already.
On a side note, I've eaten within my calorie range two days in a row. It's been a long time since I could say that. Go me! :)
Thursday is just that much closer to Friday! Have a good one!
