Happy dog!

Wednesday, January 08, 2014

Cooper wanted to WALK this morning! It was only about 15 degrees, but that is about 40 degrees warmer than yesterday. When we set out I figured a couple miles would do, but he had other ideas. We walked almost 5 miles. Happy pup! And he did his business four times! Yikes, I guess he was done holding things in. LOL!

This afternoon I had to go grocery shopping. I was running low on fresh produce. I had a potato, a lemon, an orange and 2 onions left in my kitchen. Not that I don't have canned goods, but I like to eat fresh food often. So, dad and I went shopping. Good thing I had a list. I gave it to him and he went off to get everything on the list, while I got all the extra things which weren't on the list. We also stopped and got dog treats. I was running low on those, and hate to run out.

I made chili on Monday, and I am still eating it... and will probably do so for another 2-3 days. I made it SPICY! I put in jalapenos, cayenne, and peri peppers. I figured I would burn this cold out. It seems to be working. Today was the first day I have felt like I might be beating the crud. Still sniffling and sneezing, but no sore throat and no headache. I figure if I give it another couple days I should be back to good health.

It felt so good to get out for a nice long walk with Cooper this morning. We both needed that!

I can't do leftovers for long. One day and that's it. I'm pretty much done. My husband thinks I'm being nice when I tell him he can finish all the leftovers. He's doing me a favor!

Good for Cooper! My little weasel, Spartacus, is still getting carried about 1/4 to 1/2 of the walks, but the fluffies are loving it (out temps are around 45 when I'm walking them).

I always like to eat spicier food when I'm feeling congested. Opens up my head and drains all the snot out. (TMI?)
