Stuffed Cabbage Casserole

Wednesday, January 08, 2014

Hello Sparkfamily! I love cabbage and I I hope that you do too 'cause I have a yummy dish for you! Take a gander at this!

2 lbs. ground beef
1 c. Minute Rice (uncooked)
1 pkg. onion soup mix
3 (8 oz.) cans tomato sauce
2 lbs. coarsely chopped cabbage

Brown beef and drain fat. Mix in rice and soup mix. Lay over cabbage in a 9x13 pan. Add 1 can of water to sauce and pour over cabbage and meat mixture. Cover with foil and bake 1 1/2 hours at 350 degrees.
Note: I mixed the cabbage, meat and sauce together, then put in the pan. The sauce gets mixed in better. Enjoy!

Have a healthy day and make time for fitness and don't forget your water! Hugs, Rose:) emoticon emoticon emoticon

I like stuffed cabbage, but it is so much work when I have to go to work and come home and make dinner. This sounds good and easy. I wonder if it would work in a crockpot.

I do love cabbage! and I hate stuffing the leaves, so this is on next week's menu too.
Thank you.

(tonite I'm doing the corned beef, but I will be adding a can of dark beer to the water, no carrots due to family demands)
