So when I was first writing this I was going to title it best diet tip ever, but I loathe diets and have really acquired the lifestyle mind set. I'll write on that later it really is no revelation others have spoke on that before. Instead I like to emphasize the importance of how you eat. It is just as important as what you eat and has made a major difference in my waist line and my perception of food. Now portion control is no big secret but everyone including myself has looked at a " true serving," and thought there's no way that's going to fill me up. My first few days of practicing portion control were miserable and I was HUNGRY. Cutting my daily food intake was no easy task. My solution was fairly easy eat slower. The body needs 20 mins to recognize its full. But let me tell you after a long work out I kind of want to wolf all my food down at once so here are my simple tips to eating slower, feeling fuller quicker and thusly eating less and feeling satisfied. Keep your plate about 3 inches away from you. Chew every bite about 30 times. Between each bite put your utensils down and take a sip of water. You'll enjoy your food more and be satisfied with less.
