A nice link for motivation

Wednesday, January 08, 2014

I came across this link today and really liked it so I thought I would share it with you. It is 31 tips to keep your exercise motivation going.

Three days of tracking and I am going OK, staying within my calorie range and exercising. The trick is to keep at it though huh?

I'm headed out again to day to pick up another book from the post office. The notice came today. Yea!!! I think it will be Quin's pop up book since it is large enough not to fit in the post box. I had gotten Liam one on dinosaurs from the same pop up book ....artist ...I guess you would call him...and it is just amazing. On each page is a large intricate pop up dinosaur but there is also, on each page, three to four smaller pages that open out to small pop ups. some of the small pop ups are tiny books with more pop ups on each page of the little book! It is really amazing. So one page could have up to seven pop ups to explore. His is actually a pop up encyclopedia. I have seen that there is a whole variety of these types of books out there now. Robert Sabuda is the man who has figured out how to do this. Wikipedia calls him a "children's pop-up book artist and paper engineer". He is truly amazing. If you have children or grandchildren I suggest you check out his work. on to my trek over to the post office! Have a fantastic day!

Thanks for the link... good ideas there. I'm doing SP's January Jumpstart Fitness Challenge. It is 30 min x 5 per week of cardio, plus a SP video, 10 min. or less, each day. I'm liking the variety of the videos; I tried pilates today and learned some new moves with dumbells, etc.

I love Robert Sabuda's books!!! Have a few of them. His "Wizard of Oz" is amazing, although the twister only twisted properly as you open the page a couple of times. His "12 Days of Christmas" and "America the Beautiful" are gorgeous. I like his graphic design as well as paper engineering and cleverness. Real keepsakes.
