Going to the Holy Land

Tuesday, January 07, 2014

Well, I am determined that 2014 is going to be an excellent year for me. I am really looking forward to a pilgrimage trip coming up in March. I will be visiting Israel and Jordan along with a group of fellow Christians. My traveling companion, Sharon, and I are getting pretty excited. There is much to do in preparation yet, but the time will get here soon. I don't travel very much, but when this opportunity came up, I went for it. I've worked hard to save for this trip and I know that it might be a really long time before I hop on a plane again. But then, it was only two years ago that I had traveled to Ireland with a group! Praise the Lord! God is Good! Hoping and praying for safe travel to that part of the world. I've just learned that Pope Francis will be making a pilgrimage trip to the Holy Land in May of 2014 too!

MaryBeth, I hope that your upcoming trip is truly wonderful! That is a part of the world that I have always wanted to see too.

Some years ago I had the opportunity to go to Germany for 2 weeks, with side (day) trips to France, Austria, and Switzerland, but haven't been lucky enough to do any kind of traveling since then.

Have a great time while you are there!
