Man, this whole "eating the right thing thang" has me STARVING! I know what Sparkers will say...I'm not eating enough etc. etc. etc. Fact is this - my body has gotten accustomed to eating absolute CRAP over the last um 4 weeks or so and that crap is high in calories and when you reduce those calories, guess what you "feel hungry." I am not depleting my body of nutrients or even close to starvation mode by any means but it IS all about the deficit no matter what you wanna believe...powerful message I suppose most likely a symptom of hunger.
Anyhow, instead of making this a monthly thang, I have decided to break down my goals weekly as I do anyway in my paper journal so that I have to keep coming back here to update and remain accountable. The week has started out well, I picked a marathon for this year, the race will be in VT on 5/17/14 which puts me at exactly 18 weeks of training. Today was WK1D1 of training which was nice simply because I now have a plan and bonus it is a nice distraction right now from the scale which does not seem to be moving fast enough for my liking...even though I am starving!
Anyhoo...that's the belly talking here are the goals...
#1. No cheese this week - that means no Cumby's stops for string cheese whatsoever
#2. Vegetables with both lunch and dinner, no skipping
#3. Get a food scale or retrieve my old one from my other office
#4. Do all prescribed workouts for marathon training even if it is cold
#5. On Friday, do not order out for lunch AND only healthy carb pasta for dinner in prep for 10M run on Saturday
#6. CLEAN EAT!! At minimum M-F
