Feel sorry for those dealing with even colder weather!

Tuesday, January 07, 2014

It's 8 degrees in Alabama this morning. Thank you very much it is going to warm to 25! The dogs crated inside last night as even their insulated heat lamp dog room was cold and the water bowl had ice in it! This makes me say a prayer of thanks this morning for heat and electricity as well as prayers for other in the US suffering from the "Polar Vortex" this morning. They say we will be in the 60's this weekend. How wild the weather is right now. I sure hope this 60 hours of below freezing unusual for this area will reduce some of the blood sucking mosquitoes and flea population this year. Ants to yea, but I don't think much kills them.

I worked yesterday and didn't get enough steps in I was around 4,000 but did the best I could I was tired and didn't even finish watching SEC Championship. I went to bed with Auburn winning so was surprised when I awoke to find FSU came back, oh well. Today is another work day and it has my focus this morning. Dressing warm as I did yesterday in layers. They are just difficult when I have to wear shape wear due to the surgery for at least two more weeks. Bathroom visits take longer! I work from 10 to 4:30 today so not too bad. Tomorrow is longer and Thursday is a 9-9 kinda day, ugh... Court for about an hour on Friday that was unexpected but I have to testify for case that happened while I was out. That's part of the reason I didn't want to go back last week, I knew when I went back to work I better be ready to handle emotional stress.

Hope to have a great day and that you do too!

Neighbor (GA), we were down to 19 when I got up about 8 this morning. I don't know if the freeze will be long enough to kill the pests. LOL Like you, sure hope so.

Hope everyone can stay warm. emoticon
