My First Day Back At The Gym

Well, the juice cleanse was a flop but that's okay because I got tons of good nutrients in to my body (and continue to) and now I'm trying out the raw diet. So far I'm loving it. The stir "dry" (so cheesy) is my favorite food right now. It's just veggies and a very simple sauce of tamari, rice vinegar, and sesame oil with ginger and garlic. I can't go 100% raw because it is -45 to -50 here right now and that's just not practical. I'm probably hitting about 80% raw with ease. I borrowed my friend's dehydrator and that has made the process very easy. You can even warm things up in there and you don't even know they're raw. I highly recommend throwing a few raw recipes in to your diet now and then just for fun.
So, the gym. I have to drive out of the city to take my dog to the vet for his second booster shot (the city vets are very expensive and my friend is a receptionist at the country vet) and will be going to the university gym to sign up after that. I have friends in university (a brother and sister) and one likes to go the gym while the other would like it if I visited during the day while he's working in the lab so it works out for everyone. I actually plan on going to the gym most days and hanging out with him during the day to go for coffee and whatnot. Not only will I be getting healthy but I'll also be getting out of the house which is huge. I'd like to check out the university library as well. I'm thinking of going to school next year so this will help get me comfortable with moving around the university and leaving the house. I was assaulted a couple years ago and haven't been comfortable with being out on my own. Having friends at the school and the fact that it's close to home will go a long way to helping me take steps I need to function in society again. This is a big step and I'm excited to be taking it.
