Week Two: Relaxing Rest Day

Itís been a wonderful rest day. I can tell my body needs it. Winter break is over and work starts tomorrow. I will have long days again. I have been trying to think of ways to get a little activity in.

- While at AM & PM recess to walk in the small play yard with the children. It will not be consistent or for any big calorie burn but itís just being a little more active.
- During Lunch to eat for 15 minutes and walk for the other 15 minutes. This will not happen every day but most days will be good.

I think those are the areas that Iím able to do a little more activity during the six hour school day. During my night job I can go for walks with my clients. I have more freedom in this area than I do while at the school.

I have hummus and cucumbers for a snack tomorrow.

Goals for this week:
- Do at least 60 minutes of exercise for 6 days.
- Drink 9 cups of water daily.
- Lose 2 pounds.
- Track calorie intake and outtake.
- Make healthy snacks for at work.

Five things I'm grateful for:
1. Moon and Stars. The sky is so clear tonight itís beautiful.
2. Movies. A great way to enjoy a day off.
3. Babies. I was able to hold a baby for an hour today. It was wonderful. I miss working with babies.
4. Animal shelters and the people who support them. My great aunt made eight cat beds and donated them to the shelter a few days ago. It was awesome.
5. Books to own and borrow without censorship.

  So, glad you enjoyed a rest day as we all need them. This sounds like a great plan and even if you can't do what you want every day, the idea is to get it in when you can. emoticon emoticon in 2014! emoticon emoticon
