Well, things are plugging along. . . even though this has been a crazy week. Started the New Year (actually started the last few days of last year) with changes to my eating habits. It has gone surprisingly well, especially since my elderly step-mom fell and fractured her back and was put in the hospital. I had to be there with her and was concerned that I might have issues eating on-plan stuck at the hospital. But thankfully, that hospital has a VERY good cafeteria and they label the nutrition values of all their food/dishes SO WELL! That took the concern and difficulty out of choosing what to eat. I just wrote foods and totals on paper and stuck them in my purse. When I got home a few days later, I was able to input them into my Spark food tracker. SO EASY!
I have steadily lost throughout this week. I still have tomorrow to go for the first week and I have already lost over 4 lbs! I have felt very satisfied with this way of eating and find I am not hungry all the time like I used to be. I don't feel the need to incessantly snack all evening long.
I feel like I am off to a good start. I know there are going to be lots of bumps along the way, but I am hopeful that I will stay on plan and get good support from SparkPeople! Feel free to send me some words of encouragement anytime!
