A sunny day...

Saturday, January 04, 2014

Well it was a day of ups and downs. My friend failed to show this morning and never called. Bummer. But my one brother came over for a few minutes to mess with my computer. Then I went to my parents' house and walked for over an hour before helping mom make chili. Got me thinking... I need to make a pot at my place. After lunch went snow shoeing with my other brother. It was windy, but there was sunshine!

Day 4 of the wall sit challenge. I adapted it some for my own purposes. I find I can hold the wall sit longer if I am distracted, so I am doing biceps curls. I am trying to add 2 reps each day.

I might go snow shoeing tomorrow. Have to contact my brother in the morning and see if he is willing to give me a ride. If not, then I will just do my 3 dog walks, some yoga and the wall sits. This cold I have is def sapping my motivation. I am trying not to let it slow me down much, but...

I'm such a baby. I usually let myself off the hook for exercise when I have a cold. Next time I feel poorly, I'll remember you and maybe it'll get me out the door.

Wall sits are a great challenge. I did a plank challenge last year and got up to 5 minutes... then I had a shoulder injury and had to stop. I'm better now and need to think about getting that going again. It really makes a difference!
