Ready for 2014!

I just saw this recently and I think I will make it my motto for 2014. Cause it does not matter really what I do for the time between Thanksgiving and Christmas...IF for the rest of the year I have eaten healthy and exercised.

My concentration should be the other 11 months and not the month where I may go to a party or two or on Thanksgiving and Christmas I eat more than I should. If my head is not in the game prior to those holidays then it surely will not be during that month. Perfect example....the year 2013 for me. I was out of control and didn't eat right consistently (putting consistently because there were some times that I was in control emoticon ) and exercise was a foreign word.

So for 2014 I will concentrate on the first 11 months and when Thanksgiving and Christmas come this year I will be prepared.

I have cleaned out the refrigerator, tossed out all the holiday treats and zeroed out my starting weight here on SP.

I start fresh and REfreshed. 2014...I am ready for you!!!!

Staying focused throughout the year really is key.
In the past I had been in a pattern of extreme focus for a month or two and then six months of nothingness. By setting smaller SMART goals I've been able to keep my focus longer because I'm not focused on where I want to be but where I am right now. Eventually I know I'll get where I want to be but where I am is pretty awesome to so I'm celebrating this moment and the successes I'm having now, no matter how big or small they are.

    Focus is my issue. I fail to concentrate on what I need to do to get me to where I want to go. But I will focus today.
