Start a new tradition for New Year’s - The Gratitude Jar

Friday, January 03, 2014

The Gratitude Jar. It works like this: begin at January the 1st, write a small note every time something good happens to you during the year. It can be something simple like: you have an epiphany, someone says something nice, you experience success in a curtain area of your life... or whatever makes YOU feel happy. Put the note in the jar every time it happens. At the end of the year at New Year's Eve, open the jar and read and celebrate all the great things that have happened to you during the year. This a great way to see and acknowledge all the progress that you are making. This is a perfect fit with your journey here on Spark People.

Oooo, I like this. I like the idea of using a transparent container Walking by it, out of the corner of your eye, you would be constantly reminded that yes, fine things are also happening. Stupendous.
