strategies for why i cant stick with healthy eating

one of the big reason is my love of peanut butter. i know you can eat it if you portion it out. i just cant do that. i love it. i love it on sandwiches and by the spoonful---i am going to just not eat it. i might have it one day a week on weekends.

another reason is i eat too much after work at 11 pm-- i am sticking to 200 calories after work. i am gonna do crossword puzzles, blog, or just go to sleep.

i have joined gym and that is increasing my motivation.

i am reading a lot of fitness magazines, books about sugar and its effects.

i have joined book club on '100 days of weight loss'

    I have joined the 100 day challenge, too. I think the self-introspection will be helpful.

    I also have problems with the late-night eating thing. I tend to eat dinner very late, so a rule of "no eating after 7:00 pm" (or something similar) would just not work for me. On the other hand, it might work if I say that I don't eat after dinner or after a certain time, whichever comes later. Late night eating is a major saboteur.

    I know the feeling. I'm the exact same way. I have come to.hold it as my "treat" and I just have to cut myself off. It's hard but do-able. You come to enjpy it more when it's special too.

    I love peanut butter, too. If a jar is in the house I'll keep returning to it and eating it tablespoon by tablespoon until it's gone - often all in one day! I've started buying the individual snack size containers and that definitely helps me.
    I get cravings at night, too. I've switched my last meal to a later time and that seems to be helping. Of course, I usually sleep later than most people so all my meals are pushed back. I also find that getting up and walking nonstop around the house for 5 or 10 minutes helps curb those cravings.
    You can do this - we both can as long as we keep focused on making better choices.
