Daily Devotion not a New Years Resolution

Thursday, January 02, 2014

No New Years Resolution for me. I was never a big fan of them. I guess I see too many people make them and break them. If you are one who makes them and keeps them....Way to go! You are in the minority and I commend you.

I'm not sure exactly when my thought processes changed and I decided that I this is something that I have to do everyday, not just when it was convenient or fits into my day. New Years is a good time to reflect on how far I have come and perhaps set some higher goals, but every day I have to keep in mind and work on maintaining my weight loss.

I cannot afford to slip into the old patterns. I must on a daily basis assess what I am eating and how I am exercising to keep the weight off and keep getting stronger and healthier. My daily devotion to me and my health keep me on this path of physical and mental health.

Today I can do this for me. Today I will do this for me. Today you can do it for you! We can do it together! Go Sparkers! Live it daily!

That is so true, that we must always be mindful of what we are eating, no matter what stage we are in.
