I am going to do it.

Thursday, January 02, 2014

The weather is keeping me from going to try out my exercise equipment during the sale. Normally I do not buy these things without trying them out. OK, I don't normally buy these things...thus the weight problem.

But, in a giant leap of faith, I am going to order it and have it delivered. I simply cannot allow myself to fall back on my fitness goals. Last month I was hitting 120 minutes regularly. I find without my bike, I am getting about 60 minutes, and seem to prefer less. That is not good.

My legs are similar in length to my daughter's. So, allowing for adjustable parts (on the machine, not on my body) it should be OK. I know there will be a learning curve, but I will give it a try. This is like a blind leap of faith. I figure that I started riding my stationary bike for 5 minutes at a time, and worked up to 58 minutes. I can do the same....A short time on the elliptical, some time on the bike, and some time on the treadmill, spread throughout the day...........interspersed with Nicole's video challenge.

As I have exercised less in the last few days, I find myself looking for more to snack on..........healthy snacks, sure. But unnecessary snacks. Too much time on my hands? Or, does exercise quell cravings?

Cookie I read your last blog a minute ago and I have to say I am SO glad you decided to do this. A) you have worked your butt off with this and deserve it and B) working out should be something we enjoy as much as possible or we won't want to do it much. Having good equipment where we like it is a great way to stay on track.
    You go girl!
Hey does a leap of faith count as exercise on your tracker emoticon

You can do it. A few minutes at a time really works, before you know it you will be doing 30 minutes and even a hour without thinking about it.
