On the first, hubby had an early morning errand to run and I asked if he would bring back breakfast. So he brings home 4 apple turnovers. I ate one and never thought about it.
I get one today. ... But today I logged it. .... and was shocked by the nutritional value. .... or I should say, the lack of. It had calories, fat, carbs and sodium, a little protein and iron. and that's about it. Some lattes have more nutrients than that turnover did! Talk about empty calories!
What else do I eat that has no nutritional value?
How many other calories do I waste on junk?
If I'm going to get healthy, I have got to pay more attention to what goes into my mouth!
My turn around was lunch and supper .....
lunch ... orange, almonds, string cheese, triscuits. .... made sure to just a serving.
supper ..... supper was a bag of Bird's Eye broccoli stir fry, a bag of Bird's Eye southwest blend, almonds and kale leaves. ... well half of all of that. I got stuffed! And all of that is only 408 calories!
That apple turnover .... was 284 calories!
I know what I need to eat and what I need to do, I'm just too lazy to do both. Gotta change that.
