It's a brand new year. I'm hoping 2014 proves to be a good year. Not that 2013 was a bad one. We really didn't do a lot in 2013. Only two races, although we got a lot done on the trailer. The kids (Karry, Nick, Caleb and Malia) came down for Spring Break and it was so good to spend time with them
. We did have a nice trip to Oregon (mostly nice..there was some tension) for my mom's 80th Birthday
. We met Tucker. Malia started kindergarten. Caleb is in sixth grade. I got a raise at work. We got a new truck. Jason came down for a visit
. But the rest of the time...not a lot happened. Hubby had knee surgery (he's suppose to go back to work the 6th). I developed high blood pressure (it's back down now)
. Jason got dumped (she was using him anyway!) and is depressed
. Most Holidays were just blah. And I think I've been feeling a bit depressed this winter.
So I'm hoping 2014 is a bit better. We plan to go to Hawaii this year, so that should help.
I lost 17 pounds in 2013...but have gained back almost that much in the last 2 months of the year. And I'm having trouble getting back on track.
But I am trying too! OH..and tat times...I've been crabby with hubby, who I love so much!
what's kept me semi sane over the last year? The love and support of said hubby and family
. And the unconditional support from my friends here (shout out to Calen!!). You all rock!
I don't do resolutions...I tend to fail at them...but I do plan to do my BEST to turn myself around, in the healthy living dept..and in my attitude and mood. I'm going to be a work in progress!
Now..more mundane stuff..last night...eating was BAD. Breakfast wasn't to bad yesterday, lunch kind of bad (In & Out...cheeseburger, unsweetened ice tea, shared fires), then hubby made beef stew (yes he can cook...just needs to do more often
), I made crescent rolls..then ate 6 of those things! Sometimes I just crave bread! So I was WAY over calories for the day and no workouts this week.
Today has been better..so far. My lettuce was all wilted in the fridge (I never can get it right....high humidity or low for the veggie crisper). So I had my Starbucks (skinny of course!) and Cream of Wheat for breakfast. A banana for lunch, and as soon as I get this blog done, a yogurt for a snack. Dinner tonight..who knows.
Next week I get back to working out at work and I'm going to tey and start home workouts again too.
