Spark Activity Tracker - solution for where to put it
Thursday, January 02, 2014
I ordered the Spark Activity Tracker since it seemed a good way to track my steps and also record my exercise on SparkPeople. It's not always accurate in terms of how long I've been exercising, but so far I enjoy using it. Right now I'm at 6000 steps a day, so hopefully I can increase that as time goes by.
I had a little bit of a problem about where to put the tracker since I'm home all day in my socks. I put it on my sock but I did throw my tracker into the dirty laundry one day but remembered in time and dug it out. I'm pretty sure I'd wash it eventually if I kept it on my clothing.
I finally hit on a great solution. I found a slightly stretched out hair elastic and stuck the tracker on that, then put it around my ankle. Perfect! It's easy to remember to take it off at the end of the day and put it on in the morning. I can wear it in the house and while I'm outside without needing to transfer it to my shoes or outdoor clothes.
The elastic is loose enough that it's not affecting circulation in my foot. I could probably have just used a piece of string or ribbon or yarn but I had the hair elastic and that works well.
Hopefully this'll help me work my way to a slimmer me in 2014!
