I'm wondering...

Thursday, January 02, 2014

I am a person who is ALWAYS cold. One of the first things I do in the morning is put a sweater on. I LIVE in sweaters.

I take it off for my workout but within a 1/2 hour post-workout it's back on. Even when wearing it though, I can still gets the chills. My hands and feet are also cold. One of my favorite ways to warm up my hands in particular is putting them on the back of my dad's neck. He hates it. He seems to think that I get my hands that cold on purpose beforehand. But a lot of the time, I think my hands are fine, yet if I go to hug someone or whatever, they flinch and either say that my hands are "cold" or that they are "freezing".

I've been this way for as long as I can remember. My dad likes to joke that I have "no blood".

Has anyone else had experience with this?

Layer! It's winter, and it's okay to need a sweater in the winter. People always think my hands are too cold too. I've learned to not let anyone touch my hands under any circumstances. I hate to hear about it. Anyway, yeah, winter is for sweaters and showing off your sweater collection!

I don't have as much of a problem with my hands, but my feet are always cold in the winter. I know part of my problem is that I am anemic from my chemo.

I get the same thing, hands and feet. I can wear good hiking socks and cold weather boots and my feet will still be ice cold in the shoes! Gloves don't help the hands either. I'm sure there's some circulation issues going on. But I also have some nerve damage so that doesn't help at all!

Eh, I am always cold because I am admittedly too skinny and have no insulation.

I've been that for years but my thyroid test came back normal. Now what?

I used to when my circulation was bad. I went to the dr. & my thyroid was off. I am a LOT better than I was.
