Success in 2014

Hello, I am a wife to a wonderful and supportive husband. I am a mother of two beautiful children, ages 6 and 4. My husband and I both work full-time. I am working on my BS in Accounting (graduate May 2015). My weight loss journey has been very up and down. My life is very stressful and I am an emotional eater. Things go wrong and get crazy, I give up and turn to crappy food. I lost 63 lbs and reached my goal back on Thanksgiving day 2011. I now have 58.4 lbs to loss. I am here to re-find my spark and gain a healthier me while trying to balance it all without turning to food.

Weighed in, measurements taken, fit test done - Ready, Set, GO!

SW on SparkPeople: 148 lbs (4/23/12)
2014 SW: 188.4 lbs
Mini Goal: 172.4 lbs by March 1st, 2014
Mini Goal: 156.4 lbs by May 1st, 2013
Mini Goal: 140.4 lbs by July 1st, 2013
SparkPeople GW: 130 lbs by August 15th, 2014


My Goals:
To live a healthier more active life with my beloved husband, kids, and friends.

To learn how to better balance my work, home, school life, and still find time to focus on me any my health.

Control my emotional/stress eating and keep my workout routine going.


My Program:
*Track my food at least 5 days a week

*Eat 5+ Fruits/Veggies at least 5 days a week

*Drink at least 96 ozs of water a day

*Limit processed foods

*Prepare my lunches for the week each Sunday

* Go to gym during lunch at least 4 days a week

*I have written my plan out on a six month calendar:
Complete P90 Level 1 by 1/18, complete P90 Level 2 by 2/8, complete P90 Level 3 by 3/1, complete P90 Level 4 by 3/22, complete P90 Level 5 by 5/12, complete P90 Level 6 by 5/3, complete Jillian Michaels 28 Day Shred by 5/24, complete Jillian Michaels Ripped in 30 by 6/21

*3000+ steps a day just at work (I have a desk job, I have a pedometer that I wear just while I am at work. I aim to walk at least 3000 steps between 7 am and 4pm)

*Last year I ran my Third 5k: Goldy's Run 4/13/13, 30 degrees, 34:16 min (only 2.95 mile course) - Will be running this race again on 4/12/14

*My little sister (16 years younger than I) did the Tough Mudder last year. She is looking to do it again. I have till March to decide if that is something I want to try to do with her this year.


I will take control of my life this year. I will not keep yo-yoing through my health. It is time to make things happen.

    LUUUUVVV the Mini Goals - these will be so helpful to keep you aware of your progress and on track.

Calendaring your plan is also a emoticon idea - benchmarking is a good accountability tool.

Your closing statement is the key to success - take control and make your journey what you choose it to be

    Yep Time to make it happen. When I seen that you had a ped. and were keeping track even w/ a office job I thought that was great. That is great you are going to the gym that much too and congrats working towards your BA, you have a lot of goals for this yr and I hope you meet/reach each and every one of them esp w/ the exercise those vids are no easy feat!!
