Ok, so I resisted it. I didn't want to pick just one word to define my 2014. But ever since I wrote my resolutions down, one word stuck with me and wouldn't let go. Joy.
Various things happened that I saw as signs that this word was to be mine for 2014:
I changed my cover photo on Facebook to a quote that I found great happiness in about joy
We had Christmas songs playing today and "Joy to the World" came on, after I tried to shake this word out of my head, and also "Joy, Joy, Joy".
We decided to start a Happiness Jar this year, before this word latched itself onto me. But you know, this word, joy, it makes me feel...happy. And I could use more of that in 2014. So I am going to seek joy in everything in 2014. It all came together, and who am I to resist joy?
Our Happiness Jar
If you want to choose just one word information about it is at the end of this blog.
JOY. It just feels right.
UPDATE: since posting this blog and choosing "Joy" as my word, I was opening old mail and found a Christmas card with one word on it:
Wow. Amazing how God chooses to give us these signs! I'm now even more sure of this word!
