Starting strong

First day of the New Year and doing good. Starting doing my walking tape again today, I did the one mile in fifteen minute first. The plan is to do that for a week and then bump it up to two miles and keep going until it is at four miles. Hopefully by the end of January. I plan on checking out the YMCA tomorrow because it is way to cold for me to walk outside. Even if I could handle the cold, my knee could not take another fall to it so I want to avoid the ice. Tomorrow I will start strength training at home, the plan for that is three times a week. I am not sure if it is all in my mind, but I feel better already, probably because I have started to do something about this extra weight I am carrying around.

I am proud of myself went to my daughters and did not weaken and give in to the Christmas cookies that were still there. I went home and cleaned out my cupboards of any bad treats and made myself a grocery list of health food to go get tomorrow

I am going to have to research cookie health foods, as it is only me here I usually just nuke food, but there is so much salt in them I want to try and avoid them.

Two gold stars on my calendar and only 363 days to go.
