I have to find my stride again. The year I committed to blogging every single day - "no matter what" - was a strong year. I stayed focused most of the time. As soon as I stopped, my focus began to dwindle. I have kept some things fairly steady: cycling and walking most of all, but even that has been weaker than in the past.
As I reflected on 2013, the first thing that comes to mind right now is a long list of excuses, rather than a long list of reasons. FOCUS is fueled by REASONS. I remember when I was super focused, the list of reasons why I was doing what I was doing flowed easily. So, for now, I am going to recall reasons. Then I am going to "fake it until I make it."
Why I am going to reboot:
Reason #1: Just because!
Reason #2: Healthy feels awesome from inside out.
Reason #3: Movement makes me feel good, after the first mile.
Reason #4: I like the way the world looks when I feel good.
Reason #5: The world on the back of a bike simple rocks.
Reason #6: I will never finish a book on tape if I don't walk more. (No books on tape at any other time)
Reason #7: I only get one view of the world from the couch. I prefer more views.
Reason #8: Dang I love crunchy veggies!
Reason #9: A full night's sleep gives me a good start to the day.
Reason #10: I actually do like water.
2014 started off quietly. We do not really celebrate. Heard the neighbors with the fireworks and such. Kept our dogs cuddle close so they would not freak out. I closed the year by looking at photos and remembering a year that zoomed on by. Amazing how much I forget until I do look at the photos.
Simple Goals for today:
Goal #1: Take photos of the sunrise
Goal #2: Drink water - 8 cups
Goal #3: Walk and listen to my book on tape.
Goal #4: Track my food.
Goal #5: Clean up one room.
Goal #6: Blog 1 for 2014.
