It's officially 2014 here. Happy New Year!
In honor of our newly birthed year, with the explosions of fireworks sounding the charge, I'm doing something I've never done before. I'm officially setting a giant, difficult, long-term goal.
By June 21st, I will be in Onederland!
I set these goals tentatively most years, whenever I want to envision a happier future. Then I set micro-goals to step my way there. Unfortunately, those micro-goals never really mean anything. The only rewards I want are huge, and I can't rightly give them to myself for little goals. But with a huge goal, I can abso-bloomin-lutely award myself something huge!
When I cross this goal line, I win a whole new me.
By that, I mean a makeover (and the more subliminal meaning that accompanies a net 49-pound lightening). New hair, new wardrobe (okay, maybe just a new dress and shoes...and underpinings!), new makeup, new perfume. All those things that make me feel incredible and sexy and like ME. I will save up money in the near-six months in between that will NOT be used for anything else (unless we are in danger of losing vital services/needs). I will save it up, buy it, and then when I hit Onederland on or before June 21st, I get to wear it all to my launch party for my first novel. (Which means I also get to throw myself a launch party! But I think I'll do that anyway.)
I now have the support of my friend and soon-to-be fitness instructor, K-SHIN, and she's helping me with personal strength programs so I can heal as an initial step. She rocks! With her help, I'm confident I will finally do this. :D
Welcome to 2014, Sparkers!
Let's do this thing!
