There is a saying . . .

Tuesday, December 31, 2013

People will forget what you did . . . They may forget what you said . . .
But they will never forget how you made them feel.

The holiday season has me thinking of many things that have happened -- not just this year, but other years also. I think of the people who have left this earth. I think of the heartaches and the triumphs. I think of the accomplishments of friends and family. But most of all, I relive some of the conversations I have had that I hope have helped someone in some way. I ask for forgiveness for where I may have failed to be kind, I ask for peace where there is none, I ask for strength for my weaknesses.

I pray, oh, how I hope and pray, that I made many feel loved and appreciated even if words were not spoken. A hug, a smile, a tender pat , shared tears and rejoicing . . .

Hoping my Father is smiling and saying, "Well done, you good and faithful servant."

Wishing All a happy, healthy and prosperous New Year!

Great blog post. I plan to "pay it forward" more this year and smile at people more. And look to where I can help others more.
