Day 2 of 30 Day Green Smoothie Challenge

last evening i purchased and ate a meal from a middle eastern restaurant. It was beef am chicken kebabs with jasmine rice and salad. if there is anything i need to control, it is really portion control. i enjoyed my meal however.

i am sleepy, very sleepy this morning. today, i made another smoothie and I have enough for two servings. it is called the quick pick me up. it has pineapple, oranges, grapefruit, avocado, spinach and water. it is "watered" down because I used an entire grapefruit and avocado however it is rather decent.

i have a banana and 1L bottle of water also but i am incredibly sleepy. i have to get over this sleepiness. today, i get out of work early ... i will take a nap. whew!

    Hey there... we are on the same SparkTeam (both joined in Jan 2008) and I am doing the 30Day Green Smoothie Challenge too! I actually just bought my groceries last night - so I haven't tried their recipes yet! I was just using my own... can't wait to try the Pick me up tomorrow! (Good tip - I won't use the whole Grapefruit and Avo... maybe just eat the other half?)

Oh and Mmmm - Middle Eastern food!

    Right now, the smoothie recipes I am drinking have kale or spinach in them. No I don't taste them. These smoothies are pretty good.

    Just wondering...How about making your smoothie a bit "greener" by adding a leaf of kale? (I do both spinach & kale). Kale really revs up the anti-oxidants. With all your fruit, you won't even taste the greens.
