OK - I did it.......

It's now "over and done"!

I had that conversation I dreaded last evening - and it went surprisingly well!

Of course, the person did try to at least get me to stay as a part of the team in a different capacity - and I reluctantly relented on that score for no other reason than my overall respect for this person......

Bottom line: I followed through on my desire to, after 3 years, step aside from this work, which recently has brought on stress that I really cannot afford to deal with (literally or figuratively)!

Of course, there are aspects to this that I will miss - but on the other hand, 1) I don't need to continue on with those overly food-filled support meetings, and 2) I have decided not to merely give up an activity, but replace it with another type of volunteer activity which may be an even better fit to my most recent and strongest experiences and abilities......

Now - on to the next phase of my stress- and life-related improvement goals!

Here's to a great new year ahead!
