My Success Plan For January

Today is day 5 of my current streak!

I hurt my knee yesterday by jumping over a puddle. Yikes, that was not a good landing! But Sunday is my rest day, so I didn't have to worry about working out. I spent the rest of the day in bed with my leg elevated and an ice pack on my knee. It feels much better today but not completely...so I'm unable to do my regular workouts. Luckily, Sparkpeople has some great chair workout videos. I did this one this morning;

I had to modify a LITTLE bit due to the knee pain, but not too much. (It doesn't hurt to move my knee. It only hurts when I put weight on it.) Thank you Sparkpeople for providing chair workouts! I'm going to do another chair workout later today...and hopefully tomorrow my knee will be well enough to get back to my regular workouts. (Don't worry, I won't rush myself....and I'll be careful!)



December has been a pretty good month for me. I went off track on Christmas day, but it wasn't an all out binge. I had some treats, and was over on my calories for the day. But it was only a holiDAY, and I got right back on track the next day.

Now I'm looking ahead to January, and I've got my success plan in place. I'm not making any resolutions, other than the one I mentioned in a previous blog...and that is, to love myself more!

I will love myself enough to eat good, healthy food, and to try to eliminate processed food as much as possible. I will try at least one new recipe a week. (Wish me luck with that, please! I'm a terrible cook, and I botch a lot of recipes unless they are super easy!)





I will love myself enough to track my food, and to stay within my calorie range.

I will love myself enough to drink at least 8 glasses of water a day. (This one is actually easy for me! I gave up sodas back in 2005 and don't miss them a bit.)

I will love myself enough to move more, and sit less.

And I will love myself enough to exercise at least 5 days a week, for at least 30 minutes a day. I have my workouts planned for January. I've already started one of them, which is the Coach Nicole's 28 Day Boot Camp DVD. I'm on day 6 of it and let me tell you, I'm loving it so far!

In addition to the Boot Camp DVD, I will also be starting Les Mills Pump on New Years day! I'm really looking forward to it!



What are your goals for January? I hope one of them will be to love yourself more! That resolution will make all the other ones a lot easier to work for.
