I love sweets, They are my BIGGEST downfall. I don't care if its candy, cookies, or even yummy flavorful lattes if they are there I'm tempted. That is probably why even though I watch what I eat (well everything but sweets), and exercise I still haven't dropped a pound in months. So now that I have got past Christmas my goal is to wean myself off sugar.
I have been saying for months I was going to limit my deserts to no more than twice a week, but something always came up, usually my mom seeing something at the store she had to have. Now that I'm not living with her I am hoping I can reach my goals easier.
But as I know my addiction to sweets is boarding on rehab status
I am going to really push to achieve my goals. Not just state that they are my goals, make a conscious effort every day to reach them. It's easy to make the excuse that "once this desert is gone then I won't make any more (or buy anymore", but then there is another, and another, and another.....
So I am going to do the *gasp* unthinkable and throw away food.
Something I was raised to NEVER do, and there in lies my problem. That is the problem many of us have. We were raised to always clean our plates, and enjoy our deserts in amply supply.
Breaking bad habits can be difficult, especially if it is engrained since birth. With each bad habit we turn away from the new good habits get easier to follow, and we FEEL so much better.
