Back from my Christmas hiatus

Sunday, December 29, 2013

Didn't gain a pound! There is something about being at higher elevations. My in law grandparents have a two level house and I was winded on them regularly. They live in Salt Lake and the elevation is 5000 and I live below sea level in GA. I got there feeling ok but exhausted after a week. I slept for hours and hours yesterday.

I ate great. 3 meals a day. Some snacks. I honestly wish they had more sweets but it was all free so I took what I could get. I had these amazing cookies from a place called Cutlers.

I got some great gifts! Can't wait for them to get back here to GA!

For 2014
I hope to begin working. I have a call center job and I really want it to work. We need the money and I would love to help save up for a trip to Portland. I know my husband misses his hometown and I want us to all go. I would need to buy 3 plane tickets and they are oh so expensive.

I want to begin the process of hiring an agent. I really want to try and get some local professional acting gigs. Trust me when I say I don't expect this to make me famous. This is just something I've always wanted to do such as commercials or whatever is available locally.

I'm ready to place my scale in the closet. I haven't done so well basing my success on daily weigh ins and I want to switch to a monthly weigh in schedule. I plan to eat on the higher end of my calories and I will lower them after the weigh ins at the beginning of each month.

Instead of weight loss challenges, I plan to initiate calorie challenges and exercise challenges on a daily basis. I know and have to trust the process. I want to be healthy just to be healthy not because the scale tells me I'm doing well or not so well based on a number.

We ended the holiday with Joey catching the flu but he's finally recovering and I'm looking forward to 2014. Happy New Year everyone!

I've not been to higher elevations very often but don't think I would tolerate them.

    Congratulations on not gaining!

I hope you are able to meet all of your goals. I'm ready to get down to business.

Congrats on not gaining anything over the holidays! I know what you mean about putting the scale away. I have a bad habit of weighing too often. I still weigh nearly every day, but it only gets tracked on SP once a week (on Tuesdays).

I tried weighing just once a month and it was hard! Good luck! :)
