last year was a bit of a struggle weight wise i seemed to have been yoyoing in with the same 5-10 lbs nearly the whole year,lol.i guess i was getting tired of the journey after all it will be 5 years i started this on 26th of january and i am still not at goal.guess i had forgotten how far i had actually gone and could only see how much was left to go.there have also been alot of health issues in that time that have also hindered my journey thoose who follow my blogs know what they are,too numerous to mention again if you donīt know and are interested just ask or check my old blogs.finding my old workout top(see last blog)reminded me how much and far i have really come which i guess i needed a reminder of.so onto 2014,no excuses will be one of my mantras along with dream away or do today(thanks alexsgirl1 for that mantra)and my usual keep on keeping on and smile no matter what.so mantras in hand i also plan to do a dot calendar.for those who donīt know what that is it is a visual aid using usually green,yellow and red dots.i will be useing orange instead of yellow as couldnīt get any yellow dots over here,lol.to make it easier to distinguish the orange from the red i have brought the red stickers bigger so they stand out more.green represents a day if i carried on doing it that way it would lead to a wait loss.yellow/orange would mean a maintain and yes you guessed it a red dot would mean if i carried on like that i would have a weight gain.to make myself more accountable i plan to post the photo of each month here either at the end of the month or beginning of next month for everyone to see.if i forget to post it for whatever reason i want you to remind me as i said i want this year to be the year of no excuses.i am also using the calender that ayman made in pre school for this as added incentive.here is a photo of the calender and stickers.
as i said a year of no excuses despite my knee operation which should be beginning of febuary,will get the date on the 7th of january at my next hospital appointment.so no matter what the weather is like i have no excuses not to do anything as i have all the following exercise equipement on hand in my home.
my most expensive exercise equipement and probably the most used one before the dr put a ban on running because of my knee is my treadmill which my darling husband brought me a couple of years ago for our 10th wedding anniversary.istnīt he a love.
next comes my crosstrainer which i tend to use now instead of my treadmill.i donīt like using the treadmill for just walking and tend to go nordic walking with the kids to the hills instead.the nordic walking sticks helps support my knee going up the hill.
here is also a photo of some of my other exercise options.on top of what is in theese two photos i have even more dvdīs and videos(two long shelves full)stability ball,my abdoertwist which i am using alot as i can sit to exercise and is good to do at the end of the day when my knee hurts and also my nordic walking stick and bike.so like i said no excuses.
i also plan to be more accountable i.e. posting the dot calendar monthly for everyone to see.blog more often.be more active on my fitgirl team.read up more and also try to declutter the house more which reminds me please kindly ignore any clutter you might see in the background of my above photos forgot to clean up first,lol.anyway that is it from me.lets here it from you now.who is joining me on a no excuses new year?thank you once again for reading my blog and an extra thanks as usual if you actually get round to leaving a comment.take care and keep smiling.
