Okay, so life is almost back to normal times~

Sunday, December 29, 2013

which is quite good since family and friends will be back in their own homes. My sister and her family are leaving Monday morning. My cousin and her family are flying home on the 4th. (Paolo and I are going out to them in July likely, maybe driving but likely flying and then renting a car when we arrive at the airport in Milwaukee.)

We all had dinner tonight and I have three words, TOO MUCH PORK!!! I didn't eat any ham, bacon or pork product pretty much since I don't like it. I do like pork roast seasoned well and sliced thinly though. I didn't have antipasto, yams, peas and most of the other stuff at dinner. Between Christmas Eve dinner and tonight I haven't eaten enough to sustain me so I did breakfast and lunch right sometimes at least. Tonight was peas, baked macaroni, antipasto and other things I didn't want so I had mouthfuls of food and I somehow got to 1350 calories for the day.

Went to Red Rock earlier with Paolo since we live so close to it, amazingly close. We needed some time away from people and it was $7 so we happily paid and did some picture taking and walking just to get away from the noise, people, basically the constant activity of stuff and food we don't want. Too much pork and sweets and to cook our own food there isn't any room for it in the fridge so we figured after tomorrow life will be pretty well regular again so we can hold out a day more. Next year we aren't hosting any visitors for Thanksgiving and Christmas either :)~

Okay madness is going on here can't use my treadmill, too much going on in the office can barely walk so I gotta sign off for now!

Welcome home to a home of Peace and Quiet - sounds a lovely visit - I understand about the Holiday Meals and every looks at you like your alien cuz you want to enjoy differently. For me , I longer eat yams but do enjoy the Sweet potatoes for potassium - A very Happy and healthy New Year wish - Karen

Having house guests even if they are family is so disruptive. I understand, no matter how much you love them I sometimes think it is better to put them up in a hotel somewhere.

I get what you are saying....we love our family and we love their visit, but at a point all the young people sounds (for me) get a bit taxing and I also need some quiet time out to hear myself think. Lucky they only come a couple of times a year and the gap in between is all I need to forget the noise level and happily say yes when they ask. lol

I experienced the same over the holidays, a mouthful or spoonful. Keep on keeping on one bite at a time!
