Holly & I did our 5K (very cold wind but the sun was shining) then went shopping and found some great deals. Meet up with my hubby and we had lunch then went shopping ourselves. We found us a nice set of pots & pans for a great price at Macy's. When we got home, we took down the Christmas stuff and packed it away for next Christmas.

Day 3 "Everything all the time ... " ~ The Eagles
The eight-limb path must be done all together. Our yoga practice makes this possible. Each time we come to the mat, we have an opportunity to work the entire path, moment by moment. Our bodies, our breath, our minds, and our choices are being refined in the laboratory that is our yoga mat. We are doing yoga all the time.

My hubby decided to head down to Houston with his sisters to tend to his brother, Ed's passing. The two of us had an hour to enjoy breakfast together before he started his road trip. Very sad and wish I was able to join them but I can't take that much time away from work. Came home to a quiet house after work. Got busy taking the outside Christmas decorations down since the weather was going to change this weekend. I also brought the weight bench upstairs to sell.

Original Expressions ~ Aries Daily Horoscope
Your desire to be free and independent could cause you to act unconventionally in your relationships today and wanting to do something different might be due to your desire to reach out beyond your limits and stretch your understanding of what you are able to do. Perhaps because you tend to act in the same way and might feel that you are in a rut in your interactions, you may want to try to infuse your relationships with a greater amount of creativity today. Sending an original card, making a gift that is usual such as a cake with a personalized message, or creating a collage expressing your feelings are some ways in which you can use your creativity to do something unique and imaginative. The people in your life may really appreciate not only the effort that you have put into your creations but the thought behind it as well.
Interesting ~ I felt bold today. Finally asked Mr. Hobbs about teaching yoga during lunch and he will research to see if it will be ok to do that. Baby steps. emoticon
Hanson's Marathon Method book arrived today, too.

Something to think about:
Finding new approaches to communicate our emotions and thoughts allows our ingenuity as well as our originality to express the depth that exists within. While we might want to be independent, our desire to be unconventional, particularly in our relationships, might be something that we do more out of a need to find new ways to get our feelings across and less because we wish to be left alone. By utilizing your creativity and desire to break free from the traditional today, your family and friends will see just how much they inspire in and how much you truly care about them.

My horoscope today: You're not sure exactly what you want, but you can tell that it's coming. Of course, you have to work hard to make it real, but that's never stopped you before. Move forward at least a little today.
I sent an email to the Hobbs about my proposal to teach yoga during lunch at work. I also called a number I saw at a studio by the Farside. I wanted to see if there was an opportunity for me to teach yoga with her. Come to find out she no longer works there but works on base so she gave me a contact person. I called and chatted and will send my info to her. Slow but surely.

Best Year Ever
"It doesn't matter how slowly you go, as long as you do not stop" ~ Confucius

To kick off your New Year's resolutions, remember that creating daily rituals for yourself in the areas that you most want to make progress is essential. We all have good intentions but our current habits get the best of us. Here are a few tips to make sure you get some good momentum going. Take massive action while you feel enthusiastic and it will help you make great strides that will inspire you to continue.
Start each day by journal about why you want to make progress in this area this year and what actions you are taking.
Tell other people what you are up to and share about your progress.
Look around for others who are succeeding in doing what you are doing and acknowledge them and learn from them.
Do something different. Make sure you are not just doing the same old thing. Do something you have never done before.
Remember, every day is a gift so put yourself first. Make sure you are spending at least 1 hour a day on your mental, physical and spiritual health.
