Texas Roadhouse

Saturday, December 28, 2013

My son who is visiting from Boston went to the gym with me this morning.

We took a step class. I love that class because you have to use your brain to think what comes next and the time goes by fast.

I struggle with some of the moves and it takes me forever to learn a routine. My son, on his very first class out-stepped me. Then he went for a swim.

We went to lunch after class to the Texas Roadhouse.

I had a chicken salad with no eggs or bacon and very little salad dressing. Very good choice. About 400 calories. Good me.

But then I also had two rolls. Over 450 calories. Bad me.

But I can still stay under my goal calories if I eat light for dinner. I can do this.

The disadvantage of getting older is the moves come slower. Your son will be there one day. Glad you had the time with him.

As long as you are learning as you go, you are
still ahead of me. Glad you had a good time
with your son and you didn't do too bad with lunch.
Just skip the rolls or only have one the next time
you go. HUGS!

My husband and I just ate at Texas Roadhouse. I had two rolls the last time I was there and then looked up the calorie count. I couldn't believe one roll has 227 calories. So this time I only had one. I had the roasted chicken. Not too bad! I went running today so I had enough calories to eat.

I am glad you had fun today with your son. Keep up the good work.
