I screwed up majorly....

Saturday, December 28, 2013

And gained back the 3lbs I'd lost. In like 2 weeks.

Thankfully the holidays are almost at an end, and normal eating starts again, NOW! I've kept up my workouts, but they obviously have not been helping.

I need to get back to running. Thing is, running outside in winter, I have no idea what to do etc. Since winter began I've only run outside once, and that was a DISASTER!

So today I got up early. In a few minutes I need to get ready to catch the bus. I will be heading to Lululemon and joining their Saturday morning Run Club. Bit nervous but I've been assured that the Run leaders will take care of me.

If you really want to run in the winter you have to get youself some "crampons" you can buy them at Jean Coutu. they strap on your boots or shoes and give you adherence to snow and ice.

Cool to hear you're going to the run club. I've never been to that one but it looks fun! Running with others always motivates me!! You got this! Back on track. emoticon

If you want to run safely in winter, it really helps to have studded running shoes. I bought a pair a few years ago, and I use them every day during winter. When Iím wearing them, I can run on solid ice without any problem.

Don't worry too much about gaining a few pounds over the holidays. Weight that is gained quickly can usually be lost quickly as long as you get back on track as soon as the holidays are over.

So glad you are not letting the slip get the best of you. I don't think anyone had good losses this holiday season. The best I could do was maintain. But I'll take it. Like you say, time to get back to what we need to be doing. emoticon emoticon
