Back again. This is a bumpy road I'm on.

But I'll push through. Kid #1 is seeing a nutritionist now; he's 5'5" 210 at 12 years old. I think a lot of it is depression and the fact that he's home all day and eats a lot when he's bored. But we're working on learning new foods and trying to get fitter as a family. El Jefe and I are staying on a decent track. We're not UNhealthy, we're just not being the nest example. We tend to be bare minimum type folks. So we'll see what this new year and a new outlook brings us. Much higher stakes now that it's not just me.

    Try to make exercising fun for him without him even realizing it that way it will become a healthy habit, join the Y together as a family. I think it's great your all in it together!

    need to get him to think positive about himself. need to set small goals that he can succeed at so that he will know that he can control his own life. need to get him into a exercise program.

    I love reading that you are working on your health as a family. It's the only way to go as far as I'm concerned. My husband was slender because he worked construction. The boys took after him in their build, but wait a minute. I was slender when I was younger. I only put on weight when I got pregnant and had a hard time getting it off after.

    So, I say congrats to all of you. Keep up the great work.
